DELIVERY AND RETURNS
UPDATES TO THIS POLICY
Shop The Hub may, at any time and without notice, revise these Terms & Conditions on the Site. Your continued use of the Site constitutes your acceptance of any such revisions. You should therefore periodically visit this page to review the current Terms & Conditions.
DELIVERY & RETURNS
Deliveries will take place within designated areas only, and during office hours on working days. Delivery during other periods will be by prior agreement with Shop The Hub or any third party couriers.
The onus is on the customer to inform us of any restrictions applicable to the place of delivery. Any damages resulting from non-disclosure in this regard will be for the customer’s account.
Deliveries will only be made where the merchandise can fit in lifts, staircases or through doors. Additional charges will be applied where items need to be disassembled or hoisted onto balconies. If you live above ground floor and require furniture items to be delivered to your floor, it is your own responsibility to make your own additional arrangements and we will only deliver furniture to the ground floor of the delivery address you provided. Once we have delivered your order to the ground floor, the responsibility of that item becomes that of the customer and we will not be liable for damages caused after delivery.
Please ensure that the place of delivery is accessible for deliveries and that you have cleared the space for the merchandise prior to delivery. The delivery crew cannot move existing furniture and rearrange rooms. Also remove any breakables that could be in the way of the delivery.
Shop The Hub will not be held responsible for any resulting damages to the new or existing furniture or interiors resulting from manoeuvring furniture into difficult accessible spaces.
Any additional costs due to failed deliveries, access problems and/or failure to adhere to the appointment time will be for your account.
A signed proof of delivery by the customer, or a representative, without annotations, is proof that you have received the merchandise in good order and condition and undamaged.
If there is any damage to the merchandise, this must be annotated/ recorded on the proof of delivery upon delivery and reported to Shop The Hub within 24 hours.
Shop The Hub does not offer exchanges or refunds on items made to order and also not on promotional lines.
We will only accept the return of merchandise that is returned within 7 days of delivery provided that:
- The merchandise is in the unused condition it was delivered in.
- Original proof of purchase is provided.
- All Sale items are sold “voetstoots” and are strictly non-refundable.
While every effort will be made to ensure estimated delivery dates are met; we are dependent on our manufacturers as well as third party transporters and circumstances beyond the control of Shop The Hub may cause delays or necessitate dates to be changed.
Again, while we will do our utmost to assist with timeous deliveries, we cannot commit to exact time frames as transporters can be delayed as a result of traffic, road works, accidents etc.
Please note that delivery does not include unwrapping and installation.
Goods must be unwrapped and inspected on delivery and Shop The Hub notified immediately of any damage or imperfections. In these cases, please retain all wrapping and packaging so that we can arrange delivery of replacements and the safe return of the damaged goods to our warehouse. We do require that the goods be re-wrapped to the best of your ability.
